Short version: Shape Matcher keeps your scores on your device and has no accounts of its own. If you choose to sign in to Google Play Games, Google handles your leaderboard data. Details below.
Shape Matcher also shows optional rewarded video ads (Google AdMob): a video is only shown when you choose to watch one to continue a round.
Shape Matcher saves your personal best score, how many rounds you have played, and your sound and vibration settings. This data:
Shape Matcher uses Google Play Games Services for its leaderboard and achievements. Signing in is optional, and the game can be played fully without it. If you sign in:
Shape Matcher does not send your scores, achievements, name or player ID to any server of ours. We do not run a server for this app.
Shape Matcher uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, both Google services. This is separate from your leaderboard sign-in and does not need you to sign in to anything.
Shape Matcher can show rewarded video ads from Google AdMob. A video is only shown when you choose to watch one, for example to continue a round after it ended. To show ads, AdMob may use the advertising ID of your device and approximate location derived from your connection, and it measures how ads perform. Where required (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), the app first shows Google's consent form so you can choose. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. Google processes this data under its own Privacy Policy and the AdMob data policy.
The About screen shows a list of our other apps and games. To keep that list up to date without an app update, Shape Matcher downloads one small public text file from our website (axarapps.github.io, hosted by GitHub Pages) and keeps a copy on your device. The request carries no account, no identifier of yours and no data from the app. Like any web request, the host can see the IP address it comes from; we do not log or read it. Tapping a row opens that app's Google Play page.
Shape Matcher creates its short game sounds on the device itself. It does not access your microphone and does not record anything.
The Share button opens Android's own share sheet with a short message containing your score and a link to the app's Google Play page. Nothing is sent unless you choose an app and send it yourself.
After a few rounds Shape Matcher may ask Google Play to show its standard review dialog. Reviews are handled entirely by Google Play.
The About screen shows static Solana (SOL) and USD Coin (USDC) addresses if you would like to leave an optional tip. These addresses are fixed text bundled with the app. Shape Matcher does not query any blockchain, make any network request for this, or track whether you have sent anything. Tapping the copy icon only copies the address to your clipboard.
Shape Matcher is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. The app itself collects no personal information. Google Play Games Services applies its own age requirements to signing in.
